The integral mirror and metric of morals

Integrity can be defined as ‘doing the right thing when no one is watching.’ I am put in mind of the time when one simple act popped on my moral lightbulb: late in the eve as I left my office, I was clearly the last one out as I traversed the hall, reading last few […]

Delta’s Tom Greer; There but for God’s grace goes a lesser man

(Please understand that at the time of this writing Tom Greer is indeed still living) It is with a profane sorrow that I push this essay to the editor of SOFREP. I seize the opportunity to further a personal agenda of mine. It did truly catch up with me eventually, the pain of the loss […]

Former Delta Force operator: Why the 1911 is still my favorite sidearm

I’m a gunslinger by background, or at least I fancy myself the sort. I still wear my pistols low these days, just not quite as low as in the day. l live, nonetheless, today as I have always lived—by the sword. And you know what living by the sword means. That’s right, it means being […]

I noted quickly that Buck too did most of his operations solo, as he was well versed in the same fine that I too have mad skills in; that is, the ‘art of multi-tasking way too much by yourself because you have no assistance’. Buck steered with his knee, operated a hand-cam with one hand, checked Google Maps for route recon with the other hand, and rooted through travel debris with his… third hand. I was in good hands.
