Detachment A: Green Berets play cat and mouse with communist agents (Part 2)

Read Part One HERE Det A was the Army’s clandestine Special Forces unit stationed in Berlin during the Cold War.  Charged with the “stay behind” mission, these Green Berets would prepare to conduct acts of sabotage in Berlin in the event that the Soviets ever invaded.  When new members arrived at Det A, they would […]

Why US Special Forces should recruit refugees and immigrants

In 2006, a group of senior sergeants in 3rd Ranger Battalion began growing out their beards on Fort Benning, Georgia.  It was an unusual sight within a unit famed for its “high and tight” haircuts.  The group of Rangers was being detailed to a secret mission in Pakistan, one which would attempt to relaunch the […]

Detachment A: Clandestine Special Forces missions in post Hitler’s Berlin (Part 1)

It was the early 1970’s, at Andrews Barracks in Berlin, where a stern looking Special Forces Sergeant Major paced down the hallway for roll call. Daily army accountability formations are normally held outside, but due to the extremely classified nature of the mission carried out by the Special Forces soldiers standing in the hall that […]

America’s Task Force Orange Targets Syrian Foreign Fighter Networks

After the 2003 invasion of Iraq by the U.S. military, the regime of Bashir Al-Assad gave de facto permission to foreign fighter networks operating in Syria to cross into Iraq via a clandestine ratline. There, they would kill and maim American soldiers. Such a move was hardly unprecedented; during the same timeframe, he allowed the Kurdish PKK […]

China signals that it is ready for war with America in the Pacific

The People’s Liberation Army of China recently made an official statement saying that, “‘A war within the president’s term’ or ‘war breaking out tonight’ are not just slogans, they are becoming a practical reality.” Such a public statement was not made off the cuff by a reckless PLA official; this signals a deliberate warning from the […]

Eeben Barlow: Fake news and propaganda go hand in hand

The following is a excerpt from Eeben Barlow’s military and security blog: Lately, there appears to be an increase in using the media as a medium through which to generate and distribute so-called ‘fake news’ to drive specific agendas. One must therefore investigate the origin or source of the ‘fake news‘ as that will determine […]

German Special Ops in trouble for sexual misconduct and hazing

The German Bundeswehr (military) has a reputation for professionalism, one I experienced first hand when I was briefly detained by them in Kurdistan.  Unfortunately, a report in Der Spiegel has brought to light a scandal at the German Special Operations Training Center located in Pfullendorf.  The outrage stems from what apparently took place during first responder […]

Benghazi cover up artist Pat Kennedy resigns from Dept. of State, missed by few

Pat Kennedy is someone who had a fairly interesting career up at the State Department.  It began when Kennedy was assistant secretary for security during bombings of US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.  During the Clinton administration, some believe that this was when Kennedy developed a close relationship with the Clinton family by papering […]

Alt-Qaeda: Lindsay Lohan meets with Erdogan and Aleppo Twitter girl

While Al-Qaeda Prime lurks in their caves in Afghanistan, triangular-shaped compounds in Pakistan, and bombed out buildings in Syria, the Alt-Qaeda camp had their meeting this week at the Turkish Presidential palace.  It was the perfect storm for the Alt-Qaeda movement.  The non-autonomous biological entity known as The Lohan shook hands with the Neo-Ottoman empire’s […]

Former CIA employees blast Trump’s speech in front of memorial wall

Over the weekend, President Donald Trump made a pit stop at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia to give a 15 minute speech to approximately 400 employees of America’s strategic intelligence agency.  The speech failed to mention anything about national security or intelligence, but rather focused on the President self aggrandizing in front of a memorial […]

The Secret Service agent’s fake hands are not fake hands folks

I came across what initially appeared to be an interesting story yesterday.  After President Trump’s inauguration, a number of people noticed that one of the Secret Service agents protecting Trump did not move his hands for a long period of time.  It almost looked as his he had prosthetic hands.  Since it seems impossible for […]

First female Ranger in the 75th Ranger Regiment

After much hemming and hawing, it appears that a female Army officer has graduated from the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP) meaning that she will soon be assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment.  When combat arms were opened to female soldiers, we wrote about how the Regiment had done statistical analysis to request a […]
