In the seventh episode of the series, Dick narrates the creation of the Red Cell unit, which was formed by repurposing some members from Team Six specialized in anti-terrorism. Their new role was to act as simulated terrorists to uncover security lapses. Their missions extended beyond infiltrating military bases; they also tested security at nuclear facilities and managed to board nuclear submarines, which were considered highly secure. Part of their responsibilities included safeguarding the President. During Ronald Reagan’s presidency, when he visited his ranch in California, members of Red Cell successfully stayed in the same hotel as the President’s Secret Service, demonstrating their effectiveness.
